Considerations about the Discursive Analysis of Expositive Texts

The work includes considerations about the theoretical basis where is supported the cognitive-communicative-social-cultural approach, which serve as fundament for the analysis of expositive texts in High School.
The work presents some considerations regarding the current need of developing strategies in students, which allow them to learn in an independent way throughout their personal interaction with the school text
In these changing times, the students receive the main contents through TV-classes, VCR-classes and other means. To go deeper in the different subjects they also count on the computer, the Freedom Program, the library and the corresponding books for each subject. The latter are a source of knowledge and development of skills and individual work habits
The student in his dialogue with the written speech must always understand and produce meanings in order to achieve a meaningful learning. The professor should not forget that the written language is the main mean for the transmission of knowledge. All this process must occur in all subjects, because on them, language is always a mean of cognition, communication and human interaction.
