“The Neighborhood Kids”: Participation and Social Research Project of Children, Adolescents and Young People with Social Disadvantage

The project is included in a research of complex character that will give the theoretical and methodological foundations of the Cuban school curriculum with duration of three years. Among the main goals are the design and implementation of a flexible and set in context curriculum, which allows the diversity and encourages a real leadership of students and directors.

The school educative project is the integrating pivot of the educative actions making emphasis in the attention to the social disadvantages of students and their families with the active participation of the different community factors.

The inter cross-sectional and multi-disciplinary managing staff conducts and integrates the project’s actions for the creation of socialization spaces in Jesús María Neighborhood, with complex social conditions.
