LectureMaker: Effective and Efficient Knowledge Transfer Via Online Multimedia Delivery

LectureMaker is a tool which may help meet the need for efficient and effective online content delivery. It is a video and multimedia system for delivering educational lectures or demonstrations via the Internet. The purpose of the LectureMaker workshop will be to provide an interactive demonstration of the tool and discuss a variety of online courses that have been developed. These include courses for teachers, engineering students, and law students. Some modules have been translated for delivery in Spanish and Dari, a Persian language, which holds implications for linguistically diverse audiences. This presentation will also include an interactive discussion with participants regarding how this tool can be used to promote effective teaching in the university arena with undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, participants will find out how the can use LectureMaker in their courses.

Krista Glazewski currently serves as assistant professor of Educational Technology at Purdue University. Her research interests include problem-based learning and technology integration into all types of formal and informal educational environments.
