From the Conventional Classroom to the New Hybrid Learning Environment: Steps and Methodology
Panagiotes S. Anastasiades.
The introduction of the new educational technologies is often restricted to the learning ICTs‚ basic applications and the limited use of educational multimedia. In this paper we present the most important steps and methodology for the implementation of a hybrid learning environment, which requires a convergence of the traditional 'Face to Face' and virtual 'web based' model of classroom. Improving the social role of the conventional instructional model, familiarizing the teachers and the students with advanced learning technologies, designing and implementing new instructional and pedagogical models, are the most important component parts of the proposed hybrid environment implementation methodology.
